Local business woman Sherry Prevett owner of 13 on Fifth antiques & collectible is in a baking competition called “ The Greatest Baker.”

She is seeking votes to help her progression in the competition. Prevett stated “ it will be a “ win- win” for the elementary students in the local schools. (beyoung.in) “My plans are to volunteer to teach an art class and the funds will be used for the art supplies,” Prevett said.

Bakers from all over are competing in the worlds largest on line baking competition. The winner will receive world wide recognition as “ The Greatest Baker”, they will be featured in “ Bake from Scratch” magazine and they will take home $20,000. “With your votes the students will “ win” Prevett said.

Art is so important in education it hands on which encourages children to express themselves in a quiet manner, it’s a vital tool in keeping them focused and engaged Prevett stated. “ your votes are so important not for me but for what the funds will be used for that will benefit the local students” she said.
