The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) confirmed today that Richard Wayne Goodwin, 37-years old, of Highland Home has been arrested in connection with the accident that occurred June 26, on Hwy 331 in Highland Home.

The accident left two boys, who were riding in the ATV, injured.

ALEA said Godwin has been charged with two counts of leaving the scene and two counts of felony assault in the first degree.

The investigation and arrest of Godwin is due to the work put in by ALEA. The State Bureau of Investigation’s (SBI) Tactical Team served the warrant and made the arrest this morning.
