Highland Home School senior Charlie Mcway competed in the Third Annual Regional Resume Contest and won the grand prize – a $1,000 scholarship from PowerSouth. McVay won the scholarship for his resume and a panel interview in the competition after earning the county level contest. The contest is sponsored by Southeast AlabamaWorks and scholarships are made possible by PowerSouth Energy Coopertives – Covington Electric Co-op, Pea River Electric Co-op, South Alabama Electric Co-op, and Wiregrass Electric Co-op.
