The Luverne School Symphonic Band performed at the Worldstrides Heritage Festival at Universal Studios on April 22. This Festival included concert bands, orchestras, men’s and women’s choirs, percussion ensembles, and various other performing ensembles from across America, which performed for judges who provided a brief clinic after the performances. The Luverne band achieved the highest rating of Gold and was one of the top rated performing groups in their division. Luverne Euphonium Soloist, Nicholas Stoutamire, received the “Maestro” award for his outstanding performance of “Benediction.” On Sunday, the Luverne Marching Band performed a “Morning March” on the streets of the Universal Studios in front of hundreds of cheering spectators.
