“Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said, “Let him be crucified!” (Matthew 22:17).
Pilate asked a question that is actually presented to all of humanity, “What shall I do with Jesus?” There are several responses to this question:
I WILL IGNORE HIM. Many simply attempt to ignore Him in their lives. Their reaction is neither positive nor negative. However, Jesus said, “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters” (Luke 11:23).
I WILL OPPOSE HIM. Some actively oppose Jesus and deny Him as the once-begotten Son of God. “And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me;” (John 16:8-9).
I WILL RECOGNIZE WHO HE IS BUT IT WILL NOT AFFECT MY LIFE. There are many who recognize that Jesus is, but they don’t allow it to influence their lives. They do not submit to Him. ““Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).
I WILL SUBMIT TO HIM IN FAITHFUL OBEDIENCE. “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins””
(John 8:24). “Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,” (Hebrews 5:8-9). He came and died to save you, if you will come to Him.
WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH JESUS?
