Athletes and fans of the Highland Home Youth Football League traveled to Mathews Stadium in Florala on Aug. 26 to watch the Flying Squadron’s tiny mite, termite, and peewee football teams face off against the Florala Wildcats in their first game of the ‘23-’24 season.

The termite fly boys brought home the only win of the day with an 8-0 lead over the Wildcats.

Squadron tiny mite and peewee teams unfortunately succumbed to their opponents, leaving the tiny mite team with a 28-12 loss and the pee wee team with an 8-0 loss. 

All three youth teams will make the trek to Red Level on Sep. 2 to challenge the Tigers at Bobby Dye Stadium.
