The Luverne School Tigers played four volleyball matches last week. The varsity team, currently 4-1, traveled to face undefeated Opp and lost (25-19, 25-9, 25-17). The team hosted McKenzie, winning three sets to two, and Highland Home, winning the area match (25-14, 25-16, 25-8). The Tigers’ hosted Elba and won (25-15, 25-18, 25-13).
The junior varsity Tigers also traveled to Opp, losing the first and third sets (25-8, 15-6) but winning the second set 27-25. The team, currently 4-1, also hosted Elba and won two sets.
Luverne’s junior high team traveled to Opp and lost two sets to zero, then hosted McKenzie, winning two sets to zero, and Elba, losing two sets to one.
All teams are playing another area match again this Thursday against Zion Chapel in Luverne.
