This week’s edition of the “Crenshaw Animal Clinic Pet of the Week,” pays tribute to a special pup who recently gained her angel wings. Aubie, a charming Basset Hound that belonged to Kadee McGough of Glenwood, may have been on Earth for only a short time, but her impact on the hearts of her family was immeasurable.

Despite her perpetually droopy eyes, which gave the impression of constant sadness, Aubie was the exact opposite – a bundle of energy who adored life and loved to play.

Aubie had a particular fondness for belly rubs and spent countless moments perfecting her distinctive howl. Her long ears, a trademark of Basset Hounds, occasionally led to amusing moments during playtime, as she would trip over them. True to her resilient spirit, Aubie would bounce back up, ready for more play and adventure.

As McGough mourns the recent loss of her mother, Melissa McSwean, she finds a little comfort knowing her mom was warmly welcomed into heaven by Aubie and her floppy ears.
