The lovable six-month-old Chorkie named Dr. Pepper is this week’s Crenshaw Animal Clinic Pet of the Week. Owned by Ken and Gail Brumit of Rutledge, Dr. Pepper is referred to by his owners as a bundle of joy and he is a cherished member of the Brumit family.

According to Gail, if she or her husband Ken are feeling down, Dr. Pepper will come up to them like he’s giving them a hug, instantly lifting their spirits.

This pint-sized pooch thrives on interaction and revels in outdoor play. His contagious enthusiasm bubbles over whenever the family gears up for a trip, displaying an uncanny knack for recognizing the telltale signs of an impending adventure.

Beyond being a delightful companion, Dr. Pepper is also on a path to becoming a service dog for his fur mom, Gail. Currently undergoing training, he is proving to be a quick learner with an eagerness to please.

When not honing his service skills, Dr. Pepper can be found indulging in his favorite pastimes. Playing with toys tops his list of enjoyable activities, showcasing his playful side. However, if there’s one thing that truly captures Dr. Pepper’s heart, it’s his love for good food and napping. Dr. Pepper boasts an affinity for Pupperoni treats but exhibits an undeniable fondness for anything bacon-flavored.
