Greetings from Drax, the nearly four-year-old German Shepherd who belongs to Susan Boatwright of Luverne. Described as a total Mama’s boy, wherever Susan goes, Drax is not far behind as he loves and adores his human mom.

“I think Drax loves and adores me just as much as I cherish and treasure him,” Boatwright said.

Drax has a particular fondness for having his back scratched right above his tail. Clearly, Drax knows how to communicate his preferences to ensure he receives the best attention as he often positions himself to ensure his human mom hits the right spot.

Drax is an inside dog and has several doggy beds to lounge on throughout his home. At night, he sleeps beside his sister Sabel. Susan said that Drax has a very odd personality and she adores his uniqueness.

Drax can be a little shy, but it does not take him long to warm up to a stranger. He has undergone basic obedience training and is a disciplined dog. As a puppy, Drax sustained a head injury when his overzealous sister tried to teach him a lesson about eating her food. The accident has caused him to live with some lingering issues and Drax isn’t a very active dog. His mother thinks he would be the perfect therapy dog and said that Drax has been a great addition to the family.
