Willow is an American Kennel Club (AKC) registered Silver Labrador Retriever. She was born Jan. 24, 2022 and Blake and Bonnie Folmar of Brantley are her proud parents. Willow loves to eat, play and chew on shoes. Other than napping better than Rip Van Winkle, her favorite thing to do is aggravate her canine and feline siblings. Willow’s mom said that the dog is her shadow.
Willow can often be found “helping” her mom with dishes, laundry, gardening, yard work or taking care of the chickens. Willow’s favorite toy is her blue rubber bone. She is from the last litter of labs to be raised by Folmar’s father. Willow brightens the days, especially when Folmar is missing her father who does not live nearby.
Folmar is a true “Daddy’s girl” and said her father helped mold her into the woman she is today due to him being her biggest fan and strongest supporter. Willow is a gracious reminder of the example set before her to follow as she raises her own children.
The Willow tree symbolizes new life and grace. Folmar had to say goodbye to her 17-year-old chihuahua and Willow has helped her to cope with the loss.
