The Chicken Shack will host a LifeSouth blood drive  April 1 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Yard Sale

Crenshaw County Historical Society will have its Spring Yard Sale on April 6, beg. at 7:00 am until., on Airport Road, Luveren. This sale includes an estate. Come out for some great items.

 

Eclipse Viewing

Come by the Luverne Public Library and view the eclipse with eclipse glasses on Monday, April 8 at 12:30 p.m.

 

Grief Group

The Luverne church of Christ is offering a monthly grief support class each first Monday from 6-7 p.m. at 67 Woodford Ave, Luverne, AL 36049. This class is FREE to attend and provides insights from the Scriptures to help us find peace in our grief. 

 

Mommy and Me

The Luverne Public Library hosts a program for moms and young children each Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. The next meeting will be this Tuesday.

 

Mammography Bus

Montgomery Breast Center’s mobile mammography bus, JOY, will be at the Crenshaw County Health Department on the second Tuesday of each month to perform screening mammograms for women ages 40 and up!  The next visit is April 9.  Call Lizzie Norman at 334.747.4769 to reserve your spot today!

 

Charity Golf

Kiwanis Club will host its annual Charity Golf Tournament April 10 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Luverne Country Club. Lunch will follow. The cost is $60 per person or $180 per team. The entry fee includes greens fee, beverages, lunch, awards and prizes.

Adult Craft Day

The Luverne Public Library will host an adult glass art class April 12 and 13 beginning at 1:00 p.m. The class is free and participants must provide their own old window panes and glass marble pieces. Registration ends April 8. For more information call the library at 335-5326.

 

Sardis Farm Swap

Sardis Farm Swap will be held Saturday, April 13  from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 14475 Montgomery Highway, Highland Home. Admission is free. Sellers are asked to donate $5. Animals must be caged. For more information contact McVay Farms at 205-612-4525. 

 

Men’s Day

Luverne Church of Christ is hosting a Men’s Day on Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Venue at Double J. Faith, Firearms, and Fishing: Men Sharpening Men in Christ will include fishing and skeet shooting, an inspiring message, and a fish fry. All men ages 13+ are invited to attend. Sharing Love

On April 15, the Alabama-Crenshaw Baptist WMU will host Bro. Daniel Wilson to speak on how simple it is to share the love of Christ. The dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with service following at Union Baptist Church in Honoraville.

The Luverne Public Library will host Craft Day on Monday, April 15 at 4 p.m.

 

Food Pantry

The Heart of Alabama Food Bank will hold a free food distribution April 15 beginning around 9:20 a.m. at the Fort Dow Sport Municipal Complex (the old armory) in Brantley. 

 

STEM & Cooking

The Luverne Public Library will host 4-H STEM and Cooking Club on Thursday, April 18 at 4 p.m.

 

Kids Yoga

The Luverne Public Library will host Kids Yoga on Thursday, April 18 at 5:15 p.m.

 

LEGO Club

The Luverne Public Library will host LEGO Club on Thursday, April 25 at 4 p.m.
