Meet Nelson, a lively and lovable five-year-old Sphynx cat who has charmed his way into the heart of his owner Elizabeth Smith of Luverne. Nelson is a healthy and curious feline with a personality as unique as his hairless appearance. He is known for his door-opening skills and can often be found lounging in his cat tree, typically on his back with his head hanging upside down—a position that never fails to elicit smiles from those who see it.

Nelson loves to jump on Elizabeth’s shoulders from his perch atop his cat tree, fully expecting a tour around the house. It’s a routine they’ve perfected over the years, much to the amusement of anyone who happens to witness it.

Nelson’s sweet tooth is another of his charming quirks. His favorite treat? A squirt of whipped cream. Elizabeth has to be vigilant with food around the house, as Nelson would devour everything in sight if given the chance.

At night, Nelson transforms into a snuggly companion, curling up with Elizabeth for a cozy sleep.
