Rutledge Celebration

The Town of Rutledge will host a 4th of July Celebration at 1727 Lee Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vendors and sponsors will be on hand with food, games and fun. Lineup for the parade starts at 10 a.m. and the parade begins at 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

Brantley Parade

The Town of Brantley invites the community to join its annual 4th of July Parade on Thursday, July 4 at 9 a.m. The parade begins at Brantley High School. Dress up in red, white and blue and come out to keep the 35-year tradition going.

July Celebration

The town of Rutledge will host an Independence Day celebration July 4. Vendors begin selling at 10 a.m. and a parade will start at 11 a.m. For more information contact Beth Rogersor Lisa Michele on Facebook.

Fireworks Show

The City of Luverne will celebrate Independence Day with a fireworks show from Turner Park July 5 beginning at dark.

Art Event

Children ages 3-8 are invited to attend an art event at the Luverne Public Library July 9 at 10 a.m.

Mobile Screening

The Crenshaw County Health Department offers mobile mammography screening the second Tuesday each month. The next session is on July 9. Call (334) 747-4769 or visit the health department at 15 Hospital Drive in Luverne to schedule an appointment.

Mommie and Me

The Luverne Public Library hosts a program for moms and young children each Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. The next meeting will be this Tuesday.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Monday and Thursday evening at First Baptist Church in Luverne. Meetings begin at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall. 

Farm Swap

The Sardis Farm Swap will take place July 13 from 8 a.m. until noon at 14172 Montgomery Highway. Fresh eggs, vegetables, canned pickles and more are available.

Brantley Splash

Jumping Maniacs Inflatables, LLC is hosting a Back to School Splash at the Brantley Recreation Field located on North Sasser Street on Aug. 3 from 12 – 7 p.m. Waterslides, vendors, food and more will be available. All proceeds will benefit the field. Call (334) 945-0291 for more information.

Grief Group

Luverne Church of Christ offers a monthly class for individuals grieving the loss of a loved one. The class meets the 1st Monday each month at 6 p.m. The next class is scheduled for Aug. 5.
