Last week’s featured furry friend was none other than Remington, affectionately known as “Remy.” Remy is the beloved companion of David and Abigail Wood from Brantley, and he’s here to steal your heart with his irresistible charm.

At a whopping 105 pounds, Remy is a big bundle of love. His favorite pastime? A good belly rub! But if there’s one thing that tops that, it’s his mom Abigail’s famous cooking. Remy can often be found just outside the Wood family’s kitchen, patiently peering inside while licking his lips in anticipation. He’s a true food enthusiast, but he’s also a well-mannered pup who knows the kitchen is off-limits. Still, every so often, he gets to sample his mom’s delicious creations, and it’s safe to say that rice is his absolute favorite.

The Woods weren’t sure they were ready for another pet after losing their beloved dog, Ace, to cancer when he was less than a year old. The pain of that loss was deep, and they hesitated to open their hearts again. But fate had other plans. They kept seeing Remy at a rescue, and something about him spoke to them. Eventually, they knew they had to make him part of their family.

Today, Remy is the light of their lives, filling their home with joy and warmth. He’s not just a pet; he’s a cherished member of the Wood family, and they couldn’t imagine life without him.
