Faye Bozeman Hall, 72, a resident of Glenwood, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Funeral services for Faye were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept 13, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Clay Crum officiating. Interment followed in Providence Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Faye was always a bit of a social butterfly. There were few people around Luverne who didn’t know her, primarily through all of her years supporting Luverne High School and all of the games and activities her girls and grandchildren participated in. And you better believe, if Miss Faye was around, she was gonna be talking to whomever was nearby. It didn’t matter if it was at a ballgame, the grocery store or going through physical therapy, she was always going to be the sweetest and friendliest person there! Lord knows she really had only two speeds in life, high and off, but she was capable of enjoying more quiet activities like crossword puzzles and sewing. Faye also enjoyed singing with the choir at church for many years.

While she spent her professional career working in Montgomery for the Retirement Systems of Alabama, there was absolutely nothing she loved more than being a devoted wife, mother and “Nannie” to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were all the pride and joy of her life and she loved spending time with them more than anything else in the world. It takes a special woman to raise a house full of girls without losing your sanity, but she thrived off of it and did a heck of a job with it! She especially loved supporting them at all of the ball games during their years as cheerleaders. Those years earned her a beloved place in the hearts of all those who spent time with her, and her warmth and love will continue to be a lasting legacy for many more years to come.
