“Madison is a model student,” Taylor said. “She leads by example in many ways, excels academically, and is supported by parents who are deeply involved in our school. We are incredibly proud of how Madison represents Brantley.”

The second honoree, Brooklyn Boswell, is an eighth-grade student at Highland Home, and was recognized for her passion for reading and art, as well as her dedication and hard work in the classroom.

Diamond Davis, a student and member of the marching band at Luverne School, was nominated for recognition by Coach Dale Simmons.

“Diamond is a model student,” Simmons said. “She listens well and treats everyone with the utmost respect.”

The board and school administrators commended all three students for their exceptional leadership and academic achievements.

The Student of the Month program is part of Interim Superintendent Gregory Faught’s initiative to recognize student excellence and inspire others. Each honoree received an engraved plaque in recognition of their achievement as well as a letter from Faught.

“… Be proud of this accomplishment,” Faught said. “Since you were selected by the school administration for demonstrating the character and competence necessary to be successful. Always work hard when no one else is looking and good things will continue to come your way… .”

The next Crenshaw County Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Nov. 12 at 5:30 p.m.
