Board denies parole request for Amanda Duncan

The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles denied the parole petition from an inmate serving time for drug-related convictions in Crenshaw County.

On Nov. 20, the board voted to deny parole to Amanda Duncan, 39. She is currently housed in the Montgomery Womens Facility, serving eight years for distributing a controlled substance handed down in July 3.

Duncan previously served 45-day and 15-day terms for probation violations in 2017. The Board reset Duncan’s next hearing date for June 2025.

The board heard 14 parole petitions on Nov. 20, granting five and denying nine. The board also held 10 pardon hearings, granting seven and denying three.
