Strength crowned Miss LBW

Seven outstanding ladies competed for the Miss LBW 2024 – 2025 title on Thursday, Nov. 21 consisting of interview, talent and self-expression categories.
Emma Clair Strength, a freshman from Highland Home was crowned and awarded a $3,000 Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (LBW) scholarship. She won the Interview category and was one of two selected for the Spirit Award.
“Special thanks to our faithful supporters and sponsors,” said Miss LBW Pageant Director, Katie King. “It is a true privilege to offer these remarkable young women a platform to showcase their talents, represent our college with pride, and be a part of this empowering program. Each of them brings something extraordinary to the table, and I am proud of all they have achieved!”
Strength currently serves as an LBW Ambassador and officer at the Greenville Campus. She will continue her ambassador duties in her new role as Miss LBW and has plans to advocate for young women’s mental health.
Sara Catherine Sansom, a freshman from Andalusia, was awarded 1st Alternate and the winner of Self-Expression. She was selected as People’s Choice and a recipient of the Spirit Award.
Khloe Craig, a sophomore from Andalusia, won the Talent category and was selected as 2nd Alternate. For talent, she performed a vocal, “When Will My Life Begin” from Tangled.
Additional participants were No. 1 Kaylie Threat, a freshman from Spanish Fort; No. 4 Olivia Mikel, a sophomore from Andalusia; No. 6 Hannah Smith, a freshman from Jack and, No. 7 Emma Poore, a sophomore from Birmingham.
Miss LBW 2023 – 2024 Rhian Grayson and LBW President Dr. Brock Kelley crowned the winner. Alyssa Bozeman and Hugh Stovall emceed the event.
