Brantley Christmas
The Front Porch Christmas Festival and Parade is scheduled for Dec. 7. Starting at 12 p.m. Expect music, vendors, Santa, food and fun. Vendor fee is $20. Applications are available at the Town Hall and Overflow Cafe. Call or text (334) 343-2128 for details.
Crenshaw County Basketball Showcase
Bill Henry’s Wings & Burgers will host a basketball showcase where a few players from each team and coaches will be present. Food specials will be available with a portion of the proceeds supporting local basketball programs.
Open House
The Crenshaw County Historical Society will host a Christmas Open House on Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8, 2 – 5 p.m. at the Museum located on Airport Road in Luverne. There will be old fashioned decorations, refreshments, conversation and music on Saturday. Admission is free.
Santa Photos
Sylvia’s Produce in Lapine will host the Grinch, Santa and Mrs. Claus with their friends Cindy Lou Who and Buddy the Elf Dec. 7, 2 – 6 p.m. and Dec. 8, 12 – 5:30 p.m. Free photo sessions are available with no appointment needed.
Mobile Screening
The Crenshaw County Health Department offers mobile mammography screening the second Tuesday each month. The next session is on Dec. 10. Call (334) 747-4769 or visit the health department at 15 Hospital Drive in Luverne to schedule an appointment.
Ribbon Cutting
A ribbon Cutting will be held Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. by The Crenshaw County Chamber of Commerce to recognize the recent opening of Maggie’s Coffee House.

Christmas Trail
The Christmas Trail is an advertising opportunity featuring Christmas trees along the walking trail of Douglas Park in Luverne throughout December. All proceeds from the free attraction will benefit the Corey Bozeman Memorial Scholarship. Contact Justin Jacobs at (334) 482-3321 for details.
Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Monday and Thursday evening at First Baptist Church in Luverne. Meetings begin at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
Mommie and Me
The Luverne Public Library hosts a program for moms and young children each Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. The next meeting will be this Tuesday.

The Luverne Library will host 4-H Club Dec. 19 at 4 p.m. followed by Kids Yoga beginning at 5:15 p.m.

The Luverne Public Library will host Movie Day Dec. 30 at 4 p.m.
