The Luverne Veterinary Hospital Pet of the Season contest is underway and the lineup is paws-itively delightful. With an impressive roster of charismatic pets, from loyal Labradors to spirited French Bulldogs, animal lovers far and wide now have the chance to celebrate the special bond between pets and their owners while helping choose who will wear the “Pet of the Season” crown.

Voting starts Jan. 23 at 6 p.m. and will end Feb. 7 at 12 p.m.The pet with the most online votes will win a personalized prize package worth $250, courtesy of Luverne Veterinary Hospital. But that’s not all—the winner will also secure a coveted spot in the ultimate showdown: the Pet of the Year contest.

* Taco Bella and Freckles, two inseparable friends.

* The delightful Catahoula, Luna, who charms everyone in Rutledge.

* Angel, a sweet and energetic Jack Russell.

* Barkley the Cockalier with boundless energy.

* A sweeter than sugar Pit Bull with a big personality who is lovingly called Fat Head.

* Ty, a loyal Labrador Retriever with a big heart.

* A charming Peekapoo named Barkley who brightens the days of her owner.

* Bella, an intelligent German Shepherd that keeps life exciting for her family.

* The spirited French Bulldog named Bama who recently celebrated her first birthday.

* Finn, a playful and loyal Labrador Retriever.

* Smoki, a blind, yet resilient and intelligent Blue Heeler with an inspiring story to tell.
