Crenshaw County students earn UA honors

The University of Alabama (UA) recently announced students who earned honors and were named to the college’s Presidents List and Deans List. Among the more than 14,600 students recognized were students hailing from across Crenshaw County.

Scholars from Brantley, Glenwood, Highland Home, Lapine, Luverne and Rutledge were named to the university’s Presidents List for earning a perfect 4.0 grade point average (GPA) while enrolled in courses during the fall 2024 term and to the Deans List for maintaining an academic record of 3.5 GPA or above during the fall 2024 term. 

Crenshaw County students named to the UA Presidents List are:

* Highland Home – Charlie McVay and Danielle Boyd;

* Lapine – Isabella Boyd; 

* Luverne – Taylor Hermeling and Summer Waters Pfleger; and

* Rutledge – Abbigail Vickery.

Crenshaw County students named to the UA Deans List are;

* Brantley – Katrina Cook;

* Glenwood – Harlee Bennett; 

* Lapine – Quintasia June and Katherine Viola; and

* Luverne – Baleigh Johnson, Drake Mills, Auburn Morrell, Madelyn Shurden, Abby Whiddon and Gage Young.
