The Luverne Journal recently held its annual Easter Coloring Contest as a way to celebrate Easter and local Crenshaw County elementary-school artists. The competition was held among children from all over Crenshaw County in grade categories pre-K through first grade, second through fourth grade, and fifth and sixth grade.
This year’s winners were Brantley School first grader Levi Gulley, Brantley fourth grader Olivia Griffin, and Luverne sixth grader Tenley Creel. The Luverne McDonald’s, owned by Murphy Family Restaurants, sponsored this year’s coloring contest and each winner will receive a party for their classroom.
