This week, the Crenshaw Animal Clinic proudly presents Ranger, a two-year-old German Shepherd, as the Pet of the Week. Ranger, a loyal and loving companion, belongs to Mo Tate of Luverne.

Ranger’s favorite pastime is enjoying a peaceful nap on the front porch, where he can keep a watchful eye on his surroundings. His favorite treat is pig ears. According to the Tate family, Ranger has a particular fondness for this savory snack.

Ranger’s protective nature shines through in his daily interactions. His family describes him as a very loving dog whose primary desire is to protect and care for his human family members. Whether he’s keeping a lookout from his favorite napping spot or eagerly greeting his family, Ranger’s devotion and affectionate demeanor are ever-present.

The Luverne Journal invites pet owners to enter their pets for a chance to be featured as the “Pet of the Week,” “Pet of the Season” or even the “Pet of the Year.” Sponsored by Dr. Alethea Gammage and Crenshaw Animal Clinic, the winner of the quarterly “Pet of the Season” contest receives a personalized prize package valued at $250 and the opportunity to compete for the grand prize and earn the coveted title of “Crenshaw Animal Clinic Pet of the Year.”
