Luna Belle, a female German Shepherd owned by Melissa Best of Luverne, is the Luverne Veterinary Hospital Pet of the Week.

Standing tall and proud, she serves as an excellent protector for her family. But behind her fierce exterior lies a surprisingly gentle heart with a few quirks that only her loved ones get to see.

Despite her formidable presence, Luna Belle harbors a surprising fear: the vacuum cleaner. Though she might bravely confront intruders, the sight or sound of the household appliance sends her running for cover. 

While she might fear the vacuum, Luna Belle acts as a vacuum herself when it comes to food. Any morsel dropped by her humans is quickly devoured, proving that she’s always on cleanup duty.

Her owner describes Luna Belle as a true “mama’s girl,” always seeking comfort and warmth by sleeping snuggled up with her each night.
