The “Luverne Veterinary Hospital Super Summer of the Season” contest has officially begun, celebrating the charming and lovable pets featured in the “Pet of the Week” segment over the past few months. From spirited Blue Heelers to cuddly kittens and even a fluffy sheep named Marshmallow, the contest highlights some of the cutest animals in Crenshaw County and animal lovers near and far can cast their votes to decide which pet will be crowned this season’s winner.

Voting is easy and open to all through The Luverne Journal website, where you can support your favorite contender. The winning pet will take home a personalized prize package worth $250, courtesy of Luverne Veterinary Hospital. Animal lovers are encouraged to like, share and cast their vote for their favorite contenders.

This contest is one of four quarterly competitions, with one more season remaining before the “Pet of the Season” winners compete for the title of “Luverne Veterinary Hospital Pet of the Year.” The grand prize for the annual winner promises to be a spectacular reward.
