UPDATE: Robinson was taken into custody Wednesday morning.
The Crenshaw County Sheriff requests the community’s help in locating a wanted individual.
The Sheriff is seeking information on the whereabouts of a white male, Christopher Whiddon, 45. He was court-ordered to rehabilitation but has left the program without permission.
Jodie Robinson, 31, was taken into custody by deputies on Garnersville Road in Crenshaw County Tuesday morning. She had also left a court-ordered rehabilitation center before the Sheriff’s department requested the community help with information on her whereabouts.
According to Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Chris Stewart, Whiddon is a registered sex offender known to frequent areas of Butler and Crenshaw counties. He was initially charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance before being mandated for rehabilitation.
Robinson, who faces original charges of robbery, assault and theft of property, similarly left rehab in violation of court orders.
“Both individuals need to be located to ensure public safety, and we are seeking the community’s help in returning them to custody,” Stewart said Monday. “The Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office thanks the community for their continued support in making the county a safer place.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Whiddon should contact the Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office at (334)335-4485.
