Meet Lexxie, the Luverne Veterinary Hospital Pet of the Week. Lexxie is a playful and intelligent German Shepherd who belongs to Karen Sullins of Honoraville. Her lively personality and love for adventure make her a standout companion.
Lexxie enjoys the simple pleasures of life — fetching sticks, chasing golf balls, softballs and volleyballs are among her favorite pastimes. She also loves fishing trips with her owner and takes pride in being the family protector, known for bravely taking on bees and even snakes.
One of Lexxie’s quirks is her love for pizza crust, her favorite treat. Although her hips bother her at times, her owner ensures Lexxie stays healthy by giving her glucosamine to manage the discomfort.
At night, Lexxie can be found either sleeping by the front door, guarding the house, or nestled under Sullins’s truck. She is not only smart but highly emotional and isn’t shy about expressing her feelings. She listens intently, often tilting her head as if contemplating the conversation.
Lexxie’s love for children once led to a memorable adventure when she made her way inside Luverne Elementary School after hearing the sounds of kids. Lexxie was found roaming the hallways, and Karen had to fetch her from the school.
With her intelligence, emotional depth and endless energy, Lexxie brings joy and laughter to her family and anyone she encounters.
