A successful two-point conversion put Crenshaw ahead 8-6, but the Warriors struck back before halftime, bringing the score to 14-8.

Despite a hard-fought second half, the Cougars narrowly missed victory, with a final score of 29-27 in favor of the Warriors.

At halftime, the homecoming court was announced, and Maggie Mount was crowned as Crenshaw’s 2024 Homecoming Queen. Mount received her crown, scepter and flowers from the 2005 Homecoming Queen, Emily Smith and 2023 Queen, Madeline Jones.

The loss brings CCA to a record of 4-6 overall and 2-and-2, third in region play. The Cougars travel to meet Patrician Academy Friday in the first round of AISA 2A playoffs.
