Regina Parker, a fourth grade teacher at Brantley School, was awarded a Teach for Tomorrow Grant from Guardian Credit Foundation.

Chosen from hundreds of applicants across 14 Alabama counties, Parker is one of only 20 educators selected to receive the highly competitive grant, totaling $1,500. Originally awarded $1,000, she secured an additional $500 in the social media round, where her grant application video garnered the most likes and shares.

With her award, Parker plans to purchase music, costumes and stage props for a patriotic program set for spring, aiming to help students understand the significance of American freedoms and the sacrifices made to preserve them.
