The Luverne Kiwanis Club held its “first Tuesday” meeting on Nov. 3, Election Day, gathering for lunch before discussing business, which included plans for the upcoming Farm-City Day and the Farm-City Luncheon as well as participation in Luverne’s Christmas Parade. Crenshaw County Historical Society member Patsy Owen joined the meeting in costume after volunteering at the society’s annual Pioneer Day event. The group will hold its next regular meeting on Nov. 19, 12 p.m. at the Chicken Shack.
