Luverne Veterinary Hospital is thrilled to introduce Barkley, a two-year-old Peekapoo, as this week’s Pet of the Week! This charming and playful pup belongs to Melissa Mathews of Luverne, is the epitome of love and loyalty. 

Barkley’s days are filled with fun and affection, and his nights are spent snuggled in bed with his “mommy,” ensuring a good night’s sleep for both.

When he’s not busy chasing his ball — his favorite toy, which he can play with for hours — Barkley enjoys spending time outdoors. Inside, he finds creative places to relax, with the coffee table topping his list of nap spots. 

A lover of all things tasty, Barkley isn’t picky when it comes to treats, embracing every snack with enthusiasm.

Barkley loves making new friends and has never met a stranger—whether they’re human or animal. Barkley’s best buddies are his canine sister, Sophie, and a feline friend named Jeffrey. Together, they enjoy outdoor adventures and make every day a delightful escapade. Barkley’s love for the outdoors and all the treats (he’s not a picky eater) makes him a lively and happy companion.
