Santa visits launch library Christmas activities

The Luverne Public Library hosted its annual Santa Visit event Tuesday. The jolly man with a long white beard, played by Jimmy Massick, arrived on a Luverne Fire Department engine with sirens wailing to the delight of local children. Some, like Jeremiah Burgans, Laura Hermeling and Caroline Hughes returned for their annual chat to tell Santa what was on their Christmas wish list. Others, like Jabari Meriwether, encountered the overgrown elf for the first time, something many local children enjoy as one of the library’s many holiday offerings.
