Kindergarten Farm Day is an annual event held as part of Crenshaw County’s Farm-City observance. The emphasis offers students hands-on interactions with farm animals, outdoor play, snacks and engaging learning activities. Some young scholars posed with special guests Ruby Raindrop and Sammy Soil, who taught students about water conservation and soil health.Others eagerly awaited their turn to ride the cow train, a highlight of the day’s events. Farm Day is a joint effort by the Crenshaw County Extension office, the Luverne Kiwanis Club, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, the Alabama Forestry Commission, local agri-businesses and other supporters to provide hands-on agricultural learning experiences.
