Arrest made in Campground Church Road situation

An arrest has been made in an incident involving multiple law enforcement who responded to an incident in the 3300 block of Campground Church Road.
Details remain unavailable as law enforcement continue to process the scene. The road is currently closed and could remain closed for several hours.
Luverne Police Department (LPD) Captain Mason Adcock said his department is assisting the Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Department at the scene. Crenshaw County Sheriff Terry Mears, Luverne Police Chief Michael Johnson and multiple units are there with other local agencies.
An advisory issued by the Sheriff’s office asked area residents and travelers to avoid the area. Residents in the area of the 3000 block of Campground Church Road are advised to stay indoors until the situation is resolved.
Motorist traveling near the intersection of Alabama Highway 29 and Campground Road should use caution and watch for responders in the area.
