EMA shares latest update

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Mobile provided an update Monday afternoon, reviewing conditions following its early morning briefing.

At the time of this update, there had been no significant changes to the impacts and messaging shared earilier in the day. However, snow totals have been adjusted to reflect higher amounts extending all the way to the coast. A tight gradient in snow totals is still expected across the northern half of the region.

The NWS noted that a winter storm warning will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday, emphasizing that the impending storm could be historic for South Alabama.
