Flying Squadron soar over Rebels

The Highland Home Flying Squadron beat the Thorsby Rebels on the road during Friday’s conference game with a final score of 21-14.
Highland Home drew first blood against the Rebels after D’Riko Harris ran three yards for a touchdown with seven minutes left in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Nick Diaz completed a 14-yard pass to JJ Faulk to secure the Flying Squadron’s second touchdown of the evening. The Rebels blocked the extra-point attempt by Austin Norman.
In the final play before the half, Jaylen Green ran for a one-yard touchdown. Kendrick Faulk then completed a two-point conversion attempt to make it a 21-0 ball game.
Four minutes into the third quarter, Luke Davis completed a 42-yard touchdown pass to Nate Thomas for the Rebels. Davis attempted a two-point conversion but was unsuccessful.
In the fourth quarter, David completed a 37-yard touchdown pass to Thomas. Thomas attempted a two-point conversion, but was also unsuccessful.
With the win, Highland Home improved to a 4-5 record for the season.
They will host the Loachapoka Indians to end the regular season this Friday.
