Brantley advances to second round with 39-3 win over Choctaw County

Brantley High School’s football team defeated Choctaw County 39-3 on Friday to advance to the second round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s Class 1A playoffs.
Running back Kedrick Brown put the Bulldogs ahead 6-0 with a 13-yard run.
In the second quarter, Brantley quarterback Jayden Parks connected with Jon Bush on a 16-yard touchdown pass and Kaleb Weed on a 13-yard touchdown pass. Between the passing touchdowns, running back Robert Shine punched in a touchdown on a 28-yard run.
Choctaw’s lone score of the contest came via a 27-yard field goal.
Brantley led 27-3 at halftime.
The Bulldogs added a punt return and a 3-yard touchdown run by Brown to put Brantley ahead 39-3.
