Kevin Sport, Mark Narmore and I would like to thank everyone who sponsored the Friendly City Homecoming Christmas Show, attended the show, or helped in any way to promote it and make it a huge success.
Jean Sims and Barbara Blackmon decorated the Luverne United Methodist Church Dei Center to perfection, as usual, and our wonderful sound coordinator, Melissa Mikul, ensured everyone sounded good.
Mary West kept everything in order for the show to go smoothly.
Danny Rolling sold tickets at the door and kept things in order.
Our sponsors, SMART Alabama, City of Luverne, Hick’s Inc., City Finance, First Citizens Bank of Luverne, Brantley Bank, Crenshaw County Commissioners, and Butler Land and Timber made it possible to have a very successful show this year.
Special thanks to SMART Alabama Vice President, Mr. Kim and Gary Sport for attending our show and bringing a number of employees from SMART to enjoy the evening as our honored guests.
Local talent served as a perfect combination to mix with Nashville and Muscle Shoals talent as Luverne began its Christmas season with a festive start.
Tina Legg and Allie Griffin, accompanied by Mr. Jarrett Flint, Neva Petrey, Samantha Bagwell, Chelsea Petrey, and Kelly Kilcrease and Andrea Bailey conducting the Brantley Bell Ringers entertained our audience of over 130 people.
Pastor Ken Jackson, of the UMC of Andalusia, delivered the Christmas message for the evening and was an inspiration to all as he told the precious story of the birth of our Savior.
A complimentary food table, flanked with beautiful Christmas decor in the back of the auditorium, featured Conecuh sausage Kevin grilled for everyone, and Sister Schubert graciously donated tasty rolls to go along with chocolates, mints, and drinks.
We had people in attendance from Millbrook, Montgomery, New Orleans, Pensacola, and our friendly city, Luverne.
It was such a special night filled with love and laughter, and everyone seemed so happy to be out together in fellowship for Christmas.
We were reminded family and friends are what really matters in this world, and Jesus is the reason for the Season.
Kevin Sport and Mark Narmore showcased their talents throughout the evening in song, piano, and guitar.
It was a pleasure producing this show and performing with the talented Kevin Sport and Mark Narmore.
To those in attendance, we love you for supporting our show, and we hope your heart was touched as deeply as our hearts were touched.
Those who missed our show can watch it on my Facebook page, Lisa S. Rolling.
Our City of Luverne is somewhere Special to belong. It’s obvious when we come together and enjoy events like our Christmas show.
We are already making plans for next year’s Friendly City Homecoming Christmas Show.
We hope to see you there.
