A Luverne teen, Emily Elissa Barganier, 14, was located and reunited with her family Saturday.

The Crenshaw County Sheriff’s office issued a missing child alert through the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Fusion Center Saturday after Barganier left her home in Eastdale Apartments Friday and did not return.

“She was located and is with her grandmother,” said Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Investigator Chris Stewart. “She was located in Luverne. She is in good health and is safe.”

Barganier, a 5-0 white female weighing 110 pounds, has red hair and blue eyes. According to Stewart, family reported her missing after a period of time when she failed to return Friday evening.

At the time of the report, Barganier’s direction of travel and description of clothing were unknown.

The Fusion Center’s Alabama Center for Missing and Exploited Children (AMEC) acts as a liaison between citizens, organization, and law enforcement regarding missing and exploited children and adults.

The center also serves as a central repository for information regarding missing persons and unidentified deceased persons, as an analytical resource for law enforcement, and as a hub for sharing information about missing person alerts, such as AMBER Alerts, Emergency Missing Child Alerts, Senior Alerts, and Blue Alerts.
