The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles denied parole to Paul Terrel Sealey, 44, in a hearing held on May 10.
The board voted to deny parole to Sealey, who is serving a 20-year sentence at the Elmore Correctional Facility. No parties testified for or against his parole at the hearing.
Sealey was sentenced to serve 45 days on August 7, 2018. In 2020, he was convicted for robbery in the first degree and sentenced to serve 20 years.
Sealey was three years into his 20-year sentence when he applied for parole. The board scheduled his next hearing for consideration for May of 2028.
Prior to his Crenshaw County convictions, Sealey was convicted for possession of a controlled substance in April 2011 and sentenced to serve three years.
The board held 26 parole hearings on May 10, granting five and denying 21. The board also heard 15 parole petitions, granting 12 and denying 3.
Each week, the board publishes upcoming parole hearings dates, including a list of inmates scheduled for hearings in each county. After hearings are completed, the board publishes the minutes of those hearings.
