“My name is Simba and I’m an eight-month-old female Chow. Tommy and Phyllis Atkinson of Honoraville are my owners and they gave me my name because I look like Simba from The Lion King. I love Meaty Chews and Puppy Chow is the only dog food I will eat. However, I sure do love some chicken and if I act good, my humans give me a little piece of chicken. I run to the corner so I can enjoy it in peace. I spend a lot of time outside, but I sleep inside every night on the cool bathroom tiles that feel so good to me as I snooze. When I am outside, I almost always have a fan blowing on me, and oh how I enjoy it!”

Simba’s owners say she is very sweet and playful. They hope to one day breed her to their black male chow and have a few litters of precious pups. Simba has three fur siblings, Maggie and Daisy who are chihuahuas, and Midnight, her Chow husband. Simba’s favorite thing to do is play with her toys and siblings.
