“They call me Fatty. I am not sure why. Being a 22-pound cat might have something to do with it, but hey, big girls need love too. My favorite treat is tuna fish and my mom spoils me with it twice a week. As far as cat food is concerned, I refuse to eat anything other than the original Meow Mix. I have a feline brother named Yeti and I love him so, except when he tries to eat my dang tuna! My favorite thing to do is chase grocery store receipts around. When I hear my mom take one out of the bag, I come running and it is playtime! Mom always balls them up and throws them to me and I paw them all-around the house. I always sleep at the foot of mom and dad’s bed snuggled up to mom’s feet.”

Ray and Cindy Jordan of Brantley adopted six-year-old Fatty from Cindy’s sister when it was discovered that Fatty’s first owner’s grandson was allergic to cats. “Fatty” was originally named Tali but when she started rapidly gaining weight, the name Fatty stuck. Fatty does not shed much, but the weekly combing she gets helps cut down on the hair. She doesn’t make much noise, but Fatty sounds like a lion when she does.
