Up and coming Luverne Elementary second grader, Georgia Moseley, was crowned USA Premier Little Miss in the 2023 USA Premier Miss Pageant, which was held in Andalusia on July 21-22.
Moseley has in pageants since she was a baby and has been awarded many titles over the years – “too many titles to count” as her mother, Courtney Moseley, expressed.
According to Moseley, she loves competing in pageants because of the friends she gets to make along the way. Her favorite area to compete in is Fun Fashion, which she also won during the 2023 USA Premier Miss Pageant.
During the pageant, Moseley earned ten additional titles, one of which she holds near and dear to her heart: the Overall Community Service Award.
“The Overall Community Service Award is judged based on a scrapbook each contestant submits which highlights the contestant’s community service platform, and the good work they do within the community.” says Pageant Director Carol Walker.
Moseley’s platform “Open Your Heart to Animals” focuses on partnering with local animal shelters to provide them with much needed resources such as dog and cat food, treats, toys, and even cash donations.
Moseley has hosted several events to date; Some of which include a door-to-door fundraiser and supply drive which benefited the Pike Animal Shelter, an Easter egg money drive, and a coloring contest which both benefitted Animal Tails Rescue.
Moseley’s mother recognizes her daughter’s passion for helping animals and applauds her daughter’s use of local publicity for a good cause.
“She [Georgia] loves animals and it breaks her heart to see them suffer, like when someone drops an animal off on the side of the road. She wants to help those animals who don’t have a family to find their forever homes” said Courtney Moseley. “I love that Georgia uses her small town fame to give back to her community. She knows pageants are about more than just dressing up and looking beautiful. I could not be more proud of her.”
Moseley said she is grateful to her community for their continued support, and asks for everyone to keep an eye out for her next event – a pet photo contest that will be open to anyone who makes a contribution to her platform, all of which will be donated to Animal Tails Rescue.
