Luverne hosts annual Christmas parade

Santa makes his appearance in the Luverne Christmas parade.
Highland Home Baptist Church won first place for its float.
Crenshaw County 4-H sported a Christmas float with the theme Head, Heart, Hands, Health.
Luverne children are awed by Ronald McDonald and Grimace riding in the fast food franchises custom designed float.
The Crenshaw County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Christmas parade in Luverne Dec. 7. Community members came out, lining Forest Avenue in a cold but festive atmosphere to launch the holiday season. The event, which began at Luverne School, featured local organizations, churches, schools and businesses sporting floats to wow the crowd and inspire local residents with the spirit of Christmas.
