First Baptist Church in Luverne will host a first responder breakfast on Jan. 27 beginning at 9 a.m. All responders – law enforcement, fire fighters, emergency medical technicians, dispatchers – are invited to enjoy a time of food, fellowship and encouragement. Family Nutrition Series

SNAP-Ed Educator Kristin Sanders will lead the first meeting in a four part series where she will present information on nutrition topics such as, grocery shopping tips, healthy food swaps, understanding food labels, and healthy living information. Participants will also prepare and sample a Live Well Alabama recipe. Must pre-register by calling the Luverne Public Library at 334-335-5326.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. at which time a silent auction will begin. Dinner service will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. followed by the performance at 7 p.m..
