Pet of the Week-Camo
Published 9:21 pm Wednesday, January 31, 2024
Camo, the almost nine-year-old calico cat, owned by Keri Jordan of Brantley, is our Crenshaw Animal Clinic Pet of the Week.
According to her owner, Camo has a personality as vibrant as her colorful coat. The name “Camo” originated from the feline’s uncanny ability to blend in with a leopard print comforter that was in Jordan’s room when she first adopted the feline, a charming coincidence that stuck.
Along with her unique coat, Camo also has a unique health issue. This charming calico cat has asthma, a condition that requires her to take a pill at least once a week and more often during allergy season. Her favorite pastimes include watching birds and engaging with anything tiny that captures her attention like a small piece of paper or piece of grass found on the floor.
One of Camo’s signature quirks is her love for lounging on her back with all four paws in the air, a posture likely influenced by her fondness for catnip-induced relaxation.
The Luverne Journal invites pet owners to enter their pets for a chance to be featured as the “Pet of the Week,” “Pet of the Season,” or even the “Pet of the Year.” Sponsored by Dr. Alethea Gammage and Crenshaw Animal Clinic, the winner of the quarterly “Pet of the Season” contest receives a personalized prize package valued at $250 and the opportunity to compete for the grand prize and earn the coveted title of “Crenshaw Animal Clinic Pet of the Year”.
