“Misty is my name; being a diva is my game. I’m a daddy’s girl. He gives me all the belly rubs and treats I could ever want.  I love to ride right beside him in his truck. When I hear the word,’Go,’ it’s off to the races as I barrel to the door, ready to cruise to town for lots of love from everyone we see. I love to sunbathe, and I absolutely hate getting my nails cut. Mom and Dad sent me to obedience school, and although I enjoyed the socializing, it just wasn’t my thing. Mom knows I am a beautiful social butterfly and that I certainly could not help that the other dogs were distracted by my beauty and poise. Mom decided that school wasn’t for me, but she did manage to teach me to rollover by using my favorite treats, meatballs!”

Misty is the thirteen-year-old Chi-Poo of Sam and Sarah McHenry, of Luverne. Misty recently had a senior wellness exam and passed all the tests with flying colors. She loves sunny days and dirt road walks. She is too frisky to run free, so she is on a leash during her walks. 

She despises the possum that sometimes sneaks up on the porch, but most of all she detests when her canine sister Blackee gets attention. 

Both Blackee and Misty are rescued. When she first saw her daddy, she leapt across the shelter at the humane society and into his arms. Misty has been by his side ever since.
