HHS coach reaches 100 wins
Jonathan Jordan, head coach of Highland Home Flying Squadron Baseball, reached a milestone 100 wins on Monday night (3-22-21) with a win over Pike County.
In his eight seasons with the Flying Squadron, Jordan currently has an overall record of 100-61. Assistant coaches, who have been vital in leading the team for many of those seasons, are Justin Bragg and Jason Williams. They presented Coach Jordan with the game ball following the victory. He also received a plaque and jersey to commemorate the night.
As a 2003 alumnus and two sport letterman at Highland Home, Jordan is the third generation in his family to have attended the school. The football field’s press box is named after his maternal grandfather, Charles Porter, who was the announcer for the Flying Squadron for 40 years.
Coach Jordan teaches sixth grade math at Highland Home. He is married to Lindsay Jordan and has a son, Brody, who is a second grader at HHS.
