Word of Faith Church Splash Bash Fun
Word of Faith Church children’s department celebrated the summer’s end with tons of water fun. Children’s Church kids invited their friends to join in the recreation too.
A lesson brought by Bro. Greg Corley jumped started the special day. Scripture base for the day was “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers” – 2 Corinthians 6:14. Always be a friend, but do not tie yourself to the wrongdoings of others. Bro. Greg emphasized the lesson by illustration. By “living” in Christ, you will grow and mature, however something that doesn’t live in Christ can begin to stink, because it has no life. Not knowing God and not having a relationship with Christ cause kids and grownups to make bad choices. Hanging out with friends that make bad choices can lead one into making those same bad choices. Love your friends, but be a leader and not a follower. Puppets were used to tie the lesson together and help the children to understand more clearly, plus the puppets are really fun!
Following the lesson, a summer fun, kid friendly lunch of mini corn dogs, pizza rolls, fruit and cupcakes were enjoyed by all.
Off to the slides they went! For hours the children and adults with a few teens scattered about enjoyed mountains of foam, a redneck water slide and a big inflatable slide.
“Children need to be rewarded for their faithfulness. Just as their mothers and fathers, the children go to church, they learn, they pray for their country and neighbors. They take what they learn at church into the schools and spread God’s word. Seek Christ like a child does and you will never be the same.” said Bro. Corley
